Composed of rapper Rafael Vargas and producer/remixer Roger Pauletta, the American duo 2 in a Room is best known for their hit "Wiggle It", which combined rap and electro-dance in the early 1990s. Hailing from Washington Heights, New York, where they were born in 1989, the group made their first recording that year, The Album, Vol. 1, from which the single "Do What You Want" was extracted , reaching No. 6 on the U.S. Hot Dance Club Play chart . However, it was in 1990 that the duo reached their peak with the album Wiggle It and its namesake second single, which rocketed up the charts worldwide, reaching #15 on the Billboard Hot 100, #3 in the U.K. and this time #1 on the Hot Dance Club Play. After what was one of the biggest hits of 1990, 2 in a Room went on to score further hits, such as "She's Got Me Going Crazy" (1991) and "El Tago (The Drink)", from the third album World Party (1995). After the split, Rafael Vargas formed the group Fulanito, then 740 Boyz.
