A Filetta

Following in the footsteps of I Muvrini, who made Corsican polyphonic song known the world over, A Filetta perpetuates the tradition while covering it with new sounds. The ensemble, formed by Michel Frassati in 1978, is made up of seven singers, ardent defenders of the complexity of Corsican song. Renowned for its recordings of Ab'Eternu (1992), Una Terra Ci He (1994) and Passione (1997), the group also lent its name to the soundtracks of the films Himalaya l'enfance d'un chef (1999) and Le Peuple migrateur (2001). In 2009, the CD and DVD set Trent'Anni Pocu, Trent'Anni Assai celebrates thirty years of a singular and exemplary career. Two years later, Mistico Mediterraneo marks a collaboration with Paolo Fresu and Daniele di Bonaventura, followed by Pé a Scusa (2012), featuring covers and original pieces. In 2015, Castelli brings together pieces written for film, theater and dance.
