A36 is a Swedish-Assyrian rapper best known for the platinum single "Samma gamla vanliga," which reached Number 1 on Sweden's Sverigetopplistan chart, as well as the song's remix with Finnish rapper Cledos, which topped the charts in Finland. He was born as "Geivar Hasado Shlaimon" in Flen, Sweden, on May 11, 1995. Beginning in 2020, he released career-launching singles like "Alien," "Alé Alé," and "Ego," all of which failed to reach the charts in Sweden. Things changed with his final release of the year, "Tamaka," which charted at number 87 and laid the foundation for a wildly successful breakthrough in 2021. After signing with Asylum Nordics, he kickstarted that breakthrough with "Samma gamla vanliga," an international hit that peaked at number 3 in Norway, number 4 in Finland, number 12 in Denmark, and number 1 in Sweden. The song's remix was a hit, too, reaching the top of the Finnish charts. Follow-up hits like "Motorola" and "Block" also did well, peaking in Sweden at numbers 20 and 16, respectively. Those three songs all appeared on his full-length debut album, the platinum-selling Area 36, which also arrived in 2021 and reached number 4 in Sweden. Over the next two years, A36 earned a half-dozen additional Top 40 hits in his home country, including the platinum-certified"Tappat" (which hit number 9) and the gold-certified duet "Standard" (which climbed to number 3).The success spilled over into 2024, when "Inga änglar (Na Na Na)" reached number 2 and "Alla vill" reached number 21. His sophomore album, Planet 36, arrived that spring, hitting number 7 in Sweden.
