Ablaye Thiossane N'Diaye has been singing since 1952, but it wasn't until 2011 that he released his first album. For once, this is not due to dramatic or political circumstances, but simply to the fact that Ablaye Thiossane N'Diaye has a first-rate career as a painter. He has never chosen to stop singing and composing. At the age of seventy-five, he released Thiossane, a debut album devoted to the Afro-Cuban sounds that have always inhabited him.
