Adaam is the stage name of Swedish-Chilean rapper Adam Lumbrar Pérez Jakobsson, born on September 7, 2002, in Märsta, Stockholm. A precocious talent, he began writing songs at the age of 12 and released his debut single, "Trapstar" (2018), when he was just 15 years old. During this time, he and fellow rappers VC Barre and D50 founded the hip-hop collective and record label Grind Gang Music. Grindar, his debut EP, saw the light in 2019. That year, two of his singles—"Konst från betong" and "Hey Chica" featuring D50, received platinum certification by the Swedish Recording Industry Association. A second extended play titled Ordnade Detta arrived in 2020, reaching Number 24 in Sweden. Only a year later, Adaam scored the first Number 1 single of his career with "Dansa," a collaboration with Einár that reached the top of the Swedish charts following the rapper's death in 2021. This success was followed by his Top 10 studio debut Topboy (2021) and Myror i brallan (2022), which soared to the top of the Sverigetopplistan. In 2023, "17," a joint effort with MCs Pablo Paz and Takenoelz rose to Number 2 on the Swedish singles chart, solidifying his position as one of the fastest-rising talents in the local rap scene.
