Indian playback singer Adithi Sagar made her singing debut aged 14 on "Dum Maro Dum" for the 2018 Indian Kannada-language action comedy-drama film Raambo 2 (2018), which was written and directed by Anil Kumar and produced by Atlanta Nagendra and Sharan. She went on to sing "Samshaya" for the 2019 Kannada-language neo-noir thriller Kavaludaari, expanding her repertoire to include rapping on "The Bengaluru Song" for 2020 Indian Kannada-language comedy-drama film French Biriyani, which was directed by Pannaga Bharana and for which she picked up the Best Female Singer gong at the South Indian International Movie Awards. The following year she contributed vocals to Aravind Kuplikar's directorial debut Puksatte Lifu Pursotte Illa, singing "Swami Sharanam Ayyappa," and in 2022 worked as a playback singer on the Indian Kannada-language period action film written and directed by Prashanth Neel, K.G.F: Chapter 2.
