Adriano Pappalardo, born on March 26, 1945, in Copertino, Italy, is an Italian singer, songwriter, and actor renowned for his powerful voice and commanding stage presence. He began his music career in 1971 after impressing Lucio Battisti and Mogol during an audition for the Numero Uno label, leading to his debut single "Una donna." Adriano Pappalardo gained widespread recognition with hits like "È ancora giorno" and "Segui lui," both penned by Mogol and Battisti. His self-titled debut album, Adriano Pappalardo, followed in 1972, and he later released California no in 1973. Shifting to RCA Italiana in 1975, he delivered Mi basta così and joined Umberto Tozzi on tour. His 1979 anthem "Ricominciamo" became his signature song, included in the 1980 album Non mi lasciare mai. Adriano Pappalardo explored thematic depth with the concept album Immersione (1982) and Oh! Era ora (1983), produced by Lucio Battisti with lyrics by Pasquale Panella. As an actor, he appeared in films like A tu per tu (1984) and the acclaimed TV series La Piovra 4. In the 2000s, he gained renewed popularity through reality TV and musical theater, participating in L’isola dei famosi and hosting musical variety shows. After overcoming health challenges, he returned to acting in Quasi orfano (2021), proving his enduring versatility as a performer.
