The Scottish musician Aidan Moffat rose to prominence as the significant other musical half of Malcolm Middleton when the two men formed Arab Strap, an influential indie band based in Glasgow. Within the musical boundaries of Arab Strap Moffat became a familiar figure on Glasgow's music scene and the band enjoyed a substantial and fiercely loyal following. After a seven-year stint with Middleton, Moffat was encouraged by his musical partner to have a go at releasing a solo album and the result was the 2002 album 'Hypnogogia' which he recorded under the name Lucky Pierre. Moffat has been involved with a variety of musical projects after he and Middleton agreed to follow separate musical paths and his most recent work has been a collaboration with guitarist Hubby Hubbert titled 'Here Lies the Body' which was released in 2018.
