Akari Akase is a Japanese cosplayer, internet personality, actress, and singer. She was born on July 30, 2001, in Aichi Prefecture, Japan. Her early interest in anime and dream of appearing in the Pretty Cure franchise set the stage for her future in entertainment. After high school, she turned to cosplay, combining her love for anime with her earnings from part-time jobs. She started a TikTok account that quickly gained popularity, amassing over 900,000 subscribers by November 2020. This platform also led to her being scouted for entertainment opportunities through other social media platforms. In March 2020, she made her professional modeling debut with a swimsuit feature in Shueisha's Weekly Playboy magazine. Her acting debut came in 2021 with a role in the Fuji TV drama series Mr. Good-looking. By December 2021, Akari Akase's online following had grown to over 1.2 million subscribers. She expanded her career into music in 2022, releasing her debut single "Koi no Yukue" on February 23, 2022. The song was featured as the ending theme for the anime television series My Dress-Up Darling. In 2024, Akari Akase released the tender ballad "いつか叶えたくて" as a single, reaching number 40 on the Oricon singles chart.
