Aki Hata

Born on 13 August 1966 in Tokyo, Aki Hata is a Japanese singer, lyricist, and composer well known for her contributions to anime and video game music, notably working on beloved productions such as Rocket Knight Adventures, Zettai Shōnen, and Lucky Star. She has forged a solo career alongside her soundtrack work, releasing debut album Kan'okejima in 1999 and adding to her discography over the years with LPs such as 2014's Aisuru hito yo shinjitsu wa chikawazu ni you and Chaotic TSUKIOKU in 2019 and singles such as 2016's "毀レ世カイ終ワレ." She has also played keyboard and sung in the group Tsukihiko. At the Heisei Anison Grand Prize 2019, three of Aki Hata's songs were selected for the Lyricist Award. In 2021, she released the playful full-length Hello SEKAI, followed by Another Mysterious Ticket in 2023 and "The Last Day" in 2024.
