Born in Mumbai, India on August 30, 1993, Akshara Singh is an award-winning actress, model and playback singer who works almost exclusively in Bhojpuri cinema (also known as Bhojiwood). During her short career, she has become one of the highest paid actresses in Bhojiwood. Initially an actress and model, she made her film debut in the 2010 film Satyamev Jayate. Subsequent films include Pran Jaye Par Vachan Na Jaye (2011), Saugandh Ganga Maiya Ke (2012), Diler (2013), and Saathiya (2015). Akshara Singh made her first foray into television in 2015, appearing in two different series: Kaala Teeka and Service Wali Bahu. Beginning in 2017, she balanced a busy schedule between film – including Tabadala (2017), Maa Tujhe Salaam (2018), and Love Marriage (2020) – and television shows including Porus (2017-2018) and the reality show Bigg Boss OTT (2021). Akshara Singh career as a playback singer includes popular songs such as “Bolat Chalat Bam Bam Bam” with Avinash Jha (2018), “Holi Hindustan Ke” (2018), “Ail Gail Dekho Baba Nagariya” (2019), “Call Kare Kya” (2020), and “Falanwa Ke Beta Sapanwa Me Aata Hai” (2021). She released her long-awaited debut album, Huzur, in 2021, which was a collaboration with fellow playback singer Ritesh Pandey. Akshara Singh released several hit songs in early 2022 including “Telephone” and “Pithaiya” (featuring Khesari Lal Yadav), which was streamed over four million times on social media in its first month of release.
