Alexander Acha

The son of Latin pop star Emmanuel, Mexican singer-songwriter Raúl Alexander Acha Alemán (January 25, 1985), aka Alexander Acha, became a staple of the mainstream Latin pop music scene with his romantic-tinged, radio-friendly blend of dance music and MOR sensibilities. Born in Mexico City, Acha commenced his formal music studies at the age of 5 and attended several reputed music schools throughout his youth, including Boston’s Berklee College of Music and the Fermatta Music Academy in Mexico City. An accomplished and well-rounded musician, he made his recording debut with the platinum-winning Voy (2008), which spawned the Number 1 hit “Te Amo” and earned him a Latin Grammy for Best New Artist in 2009. Following a joint tour with his father throughout 2009 and 2010, Acha dropped a second album titled La vida es… (2011), quickly obtaining gold certification thanks to the singles “Amiga,” “Gracias,” and “Eres tanto.” Preceded by the singles “Gimme Your Love” and “Love is Gonna Find You,” the dancefloor-ready Claroscuro saw the light in 2014 and prompted a Latin American tour that culminated in a sold-out show at Mexico City’s Teatro Metropolitan. In 2016, Acha dropped the singles “No separarnos más” and “Perdón,” which hit the Top 10 on the Mexican charts. 2018 found the singer at the top of his game, scoring the soundtrack for the film Tepeyac and collaborating with Los Socios del Ritmo on the cumbia single “Llorar.” That same year, he released Luz, a ten-track album that featured a team of top-tier producers such as Julio Reyes Copello, Juan Carlos Moguel, and Joan Romagosa.
