Alexander von Schlippenbach is a German jazz pianist and composer who has had a long career since his debut in 1966. He released many albums leading the Alexander von Schlippenbach Trio with drummer Paul Lovens and Evan Parker and with the Globe Unity Orchestra and the Berlin Contemporary Jazz Orchestra. Albums include 'Global Unity' (1966), 'First Recordings' (1972), 'Pearls' (1977), 'Anticlockwise' (1982), 'Swinging the Bim' (1998), '20th Anniversary' (1986), 'Global Unity 2002' and 'Gold Is Where You Find It' (2008). His album 'So Long, Eric!' with Aki Takase came out in 2014. He performed at venues in Chicago, New York and London in 2019 with dates set for Munich and Berlin.
