Quebec pop singer-songwriter Alexiane Silla was born in Montmagny on July 21, 1992, and performs under her only given name. After growing up in Senegal and completing her economics studies in Montreal (Canada), the bilingual artist moved to Los Angeles in 2016 to attend the Arts Management program offered by UCLA. Graduating in 2018 after releasing the track "A Million on My Soul", produced by StarGate and chosen as the theme for Luc Besson's film Valérian et la cité des mille planètes, Alexiane collaborated with Wayfloe on "Boy" and signed the single "Safe Haven" (2018). In 2019, she created her own label, Gion Records, under which she released "Savage" and a remix of "A Million on My Soul" (2020), by Turkish producer duo Moses & Emr3ygul, certified platinum in Russia. The Bad Sounds EP released the same year serves as a preamble to the Into the Sun album (2021), co-produced with Carla Bruni. In addition to the participation of Malian singer and musician Salif Keita, the album includes English and French versions of the same song: "You Say You Love Me" and "Sais-tu qui je suis? In 2022, a new track entitled "Blue Hearts" was released.
