Aline Wirley is a Brazilian singer and actress, born on December 17, 1981, in Lauro de Freitas, Bahia. Wirley grew up in a musical family and started singing at church from a young age, which led her to pursue a career in music. In 2002, she auditioned for the first season of the reality show Popstars, and after several rounds of competition, was selected to join the girl group Rouge, and together they became an overnight success, with their debut single "Ragatanga" becoming a hit in Brazil and other Latin American countries. The group released four studio albums and sold over six million records during their career, becoming one of the most popular acts in Brazil's music scene. After the group went on an indefinite hiatus in 2006, Wirley decided to pursue a solo career, collaborating with samba singer Leandro Lehart, on the track "Amor Ferido" and releasing her debut studio album, Saudades do Sambas in February, 2009. Wirley continued to act and perform after her departure from Rouge, appearing in various musicals as well as Brazilian TV series and films and in 2017, the group reunited for a series of concerts to celebrate their 15th anniversary, announcing that they would be recording new music over the coming year. Continuing to perform in a solo capacity, Wirley released non-album single, "Quero Parar Mas Não Consigo" in 2017 and her second album appeared in 2020 titled Indômita, with the singer re-recording Rouge’s famous single "Ragatanta" to the delight of her fans. In 2023, she released a duet with husband musician Igor Rickli entitled “A Gente Ecoa”, which charted at number 115 in Brazil.
