Originally from Orléans (Loiret), Alycia Stéfano got her start in rap with the group Melo, which toured the region. After two years of service, the group split up and Alycia Stéfano formed Sans Contest, which tried to break through for three years. Alycia Stéfano was finally signed to Airplay Records, Universal's dance division, and embarked on a solo career in 2006. She decided to operate in a Latino dance register, releasing the tracks "Ritmo caliente " and "Que calor". "Obsesion" (2007), "Sin ti" (2008), and "Vamos a la fiesta" (2011) followed, before Alycia Stéfano found her place on the club charts with "Loca" in 2012.
