Ami Warning, born in Munich in 1996, is a German singer and songwriter known for her unique mix of soul, reggae, pop and hip-hop. She is the daughter of Wally Warning, a musician from Aruba who had a significant influence on her musical development. Ami Warning played bass in her father's band as a teenager before starting her own musical career. At the age of 18, she released her debut album Part of Me (2014), which is characterized by her characteristic, deep yet gentle voice. Part of Me was followed by the album Seasons (2016), which evolved musically and incorporated influences from reggae and blues. in 2019, Ami released her first fully German-language album Momentan, which impresses with its minimalist arrangements and honest lyrics. Her latest work, the album Kurz vorm Ende der Welt (2021), once again demonstrates her versatility and combines elements of hip-hop, Latin and reggae. Well-known tracks from her repertoire include "Blaue Augen" and "Einfach sein". Ami Warning has received significant recognition for her musical achievements, including the GEMA German Music Authors' Prize in 2022 for best up-and-coming musician. Her music is characterized by its authenticity and emotional depth, which has earned her a loyal following in the German music scene. Her 2024 album Auszeit reached number 74, the first placement in the German charts for Ami Warning.
