André Valadão (born André Machado Valadão on April 16th 1978 in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil) is a singer, songwriter, and television presenter. He performs in the Contemporary Christian Music genre. He started his career in 1998 as part of the music group Diante do Trono, which was led by his sister Ana Paula Valadão. In 2004, André Valadão decided to head off on his own solo career, releasing his debut album Mais Que Abundante that same year under the Diante do Trono label. It was the release of 2005’s Milagres that would launch André Valadão into popularity within the Christian music world. The live album contained performances such as the title track “Milagre (Ao Vivo)” which became a hit on Christian radio stations. On his albums, André Valadão performs original compositions as well as covers. Over the following years he would continue releasing albums such as Alegría (2006), Sobrenatural (2008), and Fé (2009), the latter two of which were nominated for Latin Grammy Awards for Best Christian Album (Portuguese Language). In 2008, he recorded the album Unidos along with British band Delirious? He has also released music in Spanish, such as in the album Fortaleza (2013), and English, such as in the album Bossa Worship (2017).
