Andrej Kamnik, a.k.a. Gothenburg-born DJ and producer Andrelli Kamnik, got his start in music at an early age, learning the piano at 5 and turning his focus to electronic music production at 14. Five years later, he founded the trance duo Andrelli & Blue. The pair drew attention from Armin van Buuren and Ferry Corsten for their debut single, "Imagine", and in 2009, were enlisted by Corsten for a remix of his "Lost" single. Kamnik began writing behind-the-scenes for pop artists in 2014, but in 2016 saw his name in lights after releasing a well-received remix of Hearts & Colors' track "Lighthouse". The electronic pop song entered the charts in a number of countries, including Norway, Slovakia and Sweden, and paved the way for Kamnik's follow-up track in 2017; a future bass remix of Lady Gaga's 2016 song "Million Reasons". In 2017, Kamnik released his debut single, "Old Man". A follow-up single emerged that same year – "Always You" with Ellie Winter – and 2018 saw the release of the "Yung Luv" song with Hearts & Colors. In 2020, Kamnik released a souped-up rework of Plain White T's 2005 acoustic smash hit "Hey There Delilah".
