Andrew Parrott is an English classical music conductor who graduated from Oxford University and became known best for his interest in music from the 16th and 17th centuries. He has been involved in ensembles such as the Taverner Choir, Consort and Players, Musica Reservata and the London Mozart Players and he has taught and written extensively. Albums include 'Gabrieli: Symphoniae Sacrae II, 1615' (1978), 'Vespro della beata Vergine 1610' (1984), 'Dido & Aeneas' (1991), 'The Promise of Ages - A Christmas Collection' (1998), 'The Carol Album: 7 Centuries of Christmas' (2003), 'Una Stravaganza Dei Medici (Intermedi per La Pellegrina)' (2013). He was music director of the New York Collegium in New York from 2001 to 2010.
