The Peruvian singer and actress Anna Carina was born in Lima in 1981 and has become one of Peru's most familiar faces in the entertainment industry with a successful career in both acting and music. During the early stages of her singing career she collaborated with various different artists until deciding to launch herself as a solo artist in 2002. Her debut single 'Crazy Love' was an immediate hit launching Carina into the spotlight, particularly amongst youth audiences. After the success of the single Carina, having become a mother, withdrew from the public eye and concentrated on her songwriting - most notably writing material for the popular children's TV show 'Maria Pia & Timoteo'. She re-emerged in 2005 with her album 'Espiral' which was well received by fans and critics alike but it was to be another five years until the release of the singer's third album 'AnnaCarinaPop' in 2010. Her most recent album has been 'Sola Y Bien AcompaƱada' which came out in 2014.
