Drummer Nick McGeehan and guitar player Tyler Ritter formed the American hard rock band Another Day Dawns in 2010. Based in Lehighton, Pennsylvania, the two teenagers initially performed covers of classic rock songs before adding vocalist Dakota McGeehan and bassist Jerome Betz to the group's lineup, which resulted in a shift toward original material. As Another Day Dawns' roster took shape, so did the band's touring schedule, resulting in performances with groups like Buckcherry, Puddle of Mudd, Fuel, and Godsmack. A Different Life, the band's debut EP, was independently released in 2018 and reached number 10 on Billboard's Northeast Heatseekers chart, signaling the band's growing popularity throughout Pennsylvania and the surrounding states. A second EP, Stranger, followed in 2020, featuring the hit singles "Taste of Heaven" and "Forget Me Not." Both songs reached the Mediabase Active Rock Top 40, making Another Day Dawns the first unsigned act from Pennsylvania to reach the Top 40 on that particular chart. In addition, "Forget Me Not" climbed to number 36 on Top 40 Radio Mainstream Rock Songs chart, where the band returned three years later with the single "Hesitate." In October 2023, "Hesitate" climbed to number 38 on Top 40 Radio Mainstream Rock Songs, giving the young act two Top 40 hits in the hard rock format.
