Anyma

Half of the Tale of Us duo, Italian-American DJ and producer Matteo Milleri has made a name for himself on the electro scene under the pseudonym Anyma. Born in New York on May 19, 1988, he moved to Milan to study sound engineering at the SAE Institute, where he met his alter ego Carmine Conte, with whom he formed the duo Tale of Us in 2009. From Berlin, where they have settled, the two producers gain notoriety, so much so that the prestigious classical music label Deutsche Grammophon asks them to produce their first album Endless (2017). In 2021, without leaving the duo, Milleri felt the urge to embark on a solo career and adopted the pseudonym Anyma, under which he produced three EPs that same year, Sentient EP, Claire and Running. His ambitious blend of classically-influenced techno, house and ambient is adorned with artistic concepts, with the production of video-format NFTs created by Marigoldff. In the same spirit, his first solo album, Genesys, was released in 2023, delayed by two years in order to be completed, and featuring a panel of guests including Camelphat, Chris Avantgarde, Innellea, Delhia de France, Poppy Baskcomb, Rebüke, Svedaliza and Grimes. His creative activity overflowed, both live and in the studio, and new collaborations soon followed, with Argy, Magnus, Adam Sellouk, Parisi, Delilah Montagu, Karin Park and always Chris Avantgarde, Rebüke, Camelphat, Poppu Baskcomb or his partner Grimes, for the elaboration of his second album Genesys II (2024). In 2025, he invited the English singer Ellie Goulding to record his biggest international hit, "Hypnotized".
