Comprising Sam Roberts, Sloan's Chris Murphy, Hollerado's Menno Versteeg, and Tokyo Police Club's Dave Monks, Canadian indie-rock supergroup Anyway Gang came together in the summer of 2018 and dropped their debut single, "Big Night" the following September, which soared to Number 6 on Canada's rock chart. The band unleashed their self-titled debut LP in 2019 on Royal Mountain Records, which included "Big Night" as well as spawning the singles "Everybody Cries" and "Eyes of Green", with the latter exploring themes relating to the extinction of humanity. A music video for the latter emerged in 2020, "Eyes of Green", which was directed by Bossie's Anne Douris. The band dropped their sophomore album, Still Anyways, also on Royal Mountain Records, in 2022, with previous collaborators Gus Van Go and Nixon Boyd at the production controls.
