Art Zoyd

After sounding like Frank Zappa, Art Zoyd, an ensemble formed in 1969, is recognized today as the European precursor of experimental music, somewhere between experimental rock and contemporary. Their complex style, with its impressionistic and electronic moods, is perfectly suited to film and theater. The album Phase IV (1982) is considered a milestone in the genre.
