Arvingarna are a four-piece Swedish dansband who formed in Gothenberg in 1989. Their long and successful career has seen them compete in the televised Swedish 'Melodifestivalen' a total of five times. The competition is used to determine the entry for the 'Eurovision Song Contest' each year, and in 1993, Arvingarna won with their song 'Eloise' and went on to perform it at the 'Eurovision Song Contest', coming seventh overall. Arvingarna released their first album 'Coola Killer' in 1992 after being together as a band for three years. The band had a busy next few years after they released a second album 'Eloise' in 1993 which contained the successful Eurovision song 'Eloise' as its title track. The album reached number seven in the Swedish Albums Chart. Their next albums 'Tjejer' in 1994 and 'För Alltid' in 1995 both reached the top 20 in the Swedish Albums Chart and they entered Melodifestivalen again in 1995. 1997 saw the release of 'Nya Spår', with the single 'Pamela' reaching number two in the Swedish Singles Chart. In 1999 the band released 'Lime' and also entered Melodifestivalen for the third time. Their next album 'Diamanter' was released in 2001, followed by their fourth entry in Melodifestivalen in 2002. In 2006, they released an album simply titled '#8', followed by two albums in 2007, a greatest hits compilation 'Arvingarnas Hörsta Hits Från 1992-2007' and a festive album of cover versions entitled 'Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree'. The album 'Underbart' was released in 2009. In 2013, Arvingarna again reached the top 20 in the Swedish Albums Chart with 'Änglar Och en Massa Kärlek'. A break for the band followed until 2019, when they released the single 'I Do' as their fifth entry in Melodifestivalen. The song was jointly written by Casper Janebrink and fellow Swedish singer-songwriter Nanne Grönvall. The song reached number six in the Swedish Singles Chart and the band were placed seventh in the competition. Arvingara have performed many concerts and tours throughout Sweden during their long career together. They have also appeared on several Swedish TV shows including Bingolotto (1989) and Söndagsöppet (1996). In March 2019, Casper Janebrink performed on the show 'Star of the Stars', beating fellow singer Ola Salo in the final to win the competition.
