It was at a medical-educational institute in Bourg-la-Reine, Hauts-de-Seine, that the members of the group Collectif Astéréotypie, which later became Astéréotypie, met in 2010. Guitarist and singer Christophe L'Huillier is also a specialized educator who supports people with autistic disorders when he organizes a writing workshop, the texts of which he quickly transforms into songs for the group he forms with Arthur B. Gillette, ex-guitarist with Moriarty, drummer Eric Tafani and keyboardist Benoît Guivarch. Called Collectif Astéréotypie, the group recorded the albums Astéréotypie (2012) and L'Energie Positive des Dieux (2018), before shortening its name. With new members Claire Ottoway, Stanislas Carmont, Yohann Goetzmann and Aurélien Lobjoit, Astéréotypie continues its adventure into post-rock and post-punk revival with the albums Aucun Mec Ne Ressemble à Brad Pitt Dans la Drôme (2022), then Patami (2024).
