Audio88

Florian Kerntopf, better known as Audio88, was born in Leverkusen on January 13. The rapper, who now lives in Berlin, reaches top form alongside his congenial MC colleague Yassin. Audio88, who was drawn to East Germany at an early age, initially made a name for himself through freestyle battles in the local rap scene before scene heavyweights such as Retrogott and Job took a liking to his style. The rapper with biting lyrics and unusual rhyme schemes released his LP debut in 2007 with Wer schweigt, gibt recht. Immediately afterwards, he met Yassin, with whom the artist released Zwei Herrengedeck, bitte in 2009. After releasing Der letzte Idiot in 2014, Audio88 achieved his commercial breakthrough in 2017 on a solo level: Sternzeichen Hass made it to number 25 in the German album charts. Together with Yassin, Audio88 repeatedly managed to establish himself in the local sales lists in the following years - including with Todesliste (2021), with which the two rappers even made it to number 2. Musically located between lo-fi and trap, Back in the Game Vol. 1 was released in 2022, again in collaboration with Yassin, and reached third place in the German album charts. Audio88's next solo album, Schwerer Verlauf, followed in 2023. The artist manages to reach number 6 in the German charts.
