Ayta Sözeri, born on March 31, 1976, in West Germany, is a Turkish actress, singer, and dedicated human and LGBT rights activist. Of Circassian descent on her mother's side, she moved to Izmir with her family in 1982 and underwent gender reassignment surgery in her twenties. Sözeri graduated from Ege University with a degree in Business Administration and studied Turkish music at Dokuz Eylül University's Turkish Music Choir. She began her career by providing backing vocals at concerts for renowned artists, including Sezen Aksu. Sözeri also served as a judge on the competition show Benimle Söyle and has held concerts that drew significant attention, such as her first solo performance at Harbiye Cemil Topuzlu Open Air Theatre in 2019, where she hosted Belkıs Özener, and another in 2020 at Bodrum Antique Theatre featuring Gülden Karaböcek. Her singles "Yanayım Yanayım" (2018) and "Anılarıma Yazık" (2020) have added to her musical acclaim.
