Indonesian singer Ayu Rosmalina is better known by her stage name Ayu Ting Ting. She sings in the Dangdut style, a mix of Indonesian folk and traditional pop styles, which has influences of both Arabic and Hindustani music. She began singing and modelling at an early age, being paid to sing at weddings from the age of 14. In 2007, she released her debut album 'Dilanjut Aja' which contained one of her most successful songs 'Alamat Palsu'. The song became extremely popular, but not until four years after its release. She enrolled on a Business Management course at Gunadharma University in 2010, but once the single 'Alamat Palsu' took off and she gained popularity as a singer, she left the university course. In 2008, Ayu released her second album 'Rekening Cinta', from which the singles 'Geol Ajep Ajep' and 'Ting Ting' were also released. She released 'Best of Ayu Ting Ting' in 2015 and 'Kamu Kamu Kamu' in 2017. In 2019 she joined forces with Turkish singer Keremcem to release the single 'Apalah Cinta' in a bid to improve her international profile and promote her music across the world.
