R&B singer Baby Rose (born Jasmine Rose Wilson on August 5, 1994) began playing music before she was ten years old. Her supportive parents (mom managed musicians) were paying for studio time just a few years later. By 14 Rose was winning talent competitions. She lived throughout the South as a child, but settled in Atlanta to begin her professional career. The 2017 EP From Dusk ‘til Dawn showcased her smokey voice, and garnered approval from artists including J. Cole and SZA. She collaborated with Matt Martian, and toured with fellow twenty-something R&B singer Ari Lennox, and appeared on the compilation Revenge of the Dreamers. Her debut album, To Myself, came out in 2019 to strong reviews that often hailed Rose as one of the brightest young stars in R&B with a voice that sounds much older than would be expected from a 25-year-old. That same year she was part of the charting R&B single “Self Love” where she was featured.
