The comedy geniuses behind West Yorkshire-born bassline collective Bad Boy Chiller Crew (BBCC for short) – aka Gareth Kelly, Kane Welsh, Sam Robinson – hadn't banked on a serious career when they began posting prank videos online, but within a few years had metamorphosed into a huge, chart-busting act worthy of its own TV show. Hailing from Bradford, UK, the trio formed in 2018 and caught a break with their debut 2020 single, "450," which featured West Yorkshire rapper S Dog and was given the stamp of approval from BBC Radio 1 tastemaker Annie Mac. Released that same year, "Don’t You Worry About Me" – also featured on their 2021 five-track EP Charva Anthems – gave them a Top 40 summer hit. They obtained a footing on the UK album chart with their debut 2020 LP Full Wack No Brakes, which went to Number 143. Influenced by DJ BadBoy and championing bassline – the hyperlocal strain of house that had originated just a stone's throw away from the crew in Sheffield, South Yorkshire – BBCC went on to become national treasures, starring in their own comedy series for ITV in November 2021. With their career seemingly going from strength to strength, they went all the way to Number 2 in the UK with their debut mixtape, Disrespectful, which was released in February 2022 on House Anxiety.
