Anis Basim Moujahid, aka Basim, is best known for representing Denmark in the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest. He made his name in the music industry when he entered the Danish version of 'The X Factor' in 2008 at the age of 15. Reaching the quarter-finals, Basim used the platform to create a following before releasing his debut album 'Alt Det Jeg Ville Have Sagt' (2008). The album charted at number eight in the Danish Albums Chart and paved the way for his second offering, 'Befri Dig Selv' (2009). Although not quite making the top 20, his second album produced two well-received singles, 'Befri Dig Selv' and 'Lad Ikke Solen Gå Ned'. In 2014 Basim won the Danish 'Melodi Grand Prix' television show contest to become the country's entry into Eurovision. Finishing in ninth place in the contest, Basim launched himself to a European audience before recording new material including singles 'Comme Ci Comma Ca', 'Aji Aji' and 'Tilfældigt'.
