Winner of the eleventh British edition of The X Factor in 2014, Benjamin Bernard Haenow was born on January 6, 1985 in Croydon, near London. He had been singing in various local bands since the age of fifteen and was a delivery driver when, in June 2014, he entered the auditions for the famous TV talent show. On December 14, he won the final with his cover of OneRepublic's "Something I Need ", which became his first hit. Following this UK number one, Ben Haenow worked on his debut album, from which the single "Second Hand Heart", sung as a duet with Kelly Clarkson, was released in October 2015. This second hit struck a chord with French audiences, establishing the artist in a strong position ahead of the release of the Ben Haenow album in November 2015.
