Ben Mazué

Winner of several awards (Festival Jacques Brel in Vesoul in 2006, Prix Paris Jeunes Talents in 2008, FAIR 2010), Ben Mazué (born Benjamin Mazuet on January 24, 1981) from Nice has emerged on the new French scene with his two EPs, Terrain d'Entente (2007) and the namesake Ben Mazué (2009). This indefatigable live performer has an original style blending chanson, rap and soul. In 2011, he released his first album of the same name, followed by the EP La Règles des 3 Unités (2012) and, two years later, his second album 33 Ans, set to music with Medi. The following year, the video for the song "La Résiliation", written for Grand Corps Malade's collective album Il Nous Restera Ça (2015), was widely circulated on the Internet, while the artist set to work on his third album. This, entitled La Femme Idéale, was released in September 2017, and unveils the duet with Pomme on "J'attends". In addition to his work as a songwriter for other artists including Axelle Red, Fréro Delavega, Patricia Kaas, Arcadian, Benjamin Siksou and Tom Frager, Ben Mazué composed the soundtrack for the film On sourit pour la photo (2022). The same year, he won his first Victoire de la musique award, in the musical show, tour or concert category. Honored with the Prix Charles-Cros des lycéens, the singer went on to work on his first post-Covid-19 album, Famille. Released in February 2025, it features two chart-topping tracks, "Famille" and "Rupture".
