Pianist, composer and musicologist Ben Sidran first came to prominence in the 1970s with his jazz-pop albums Free in America (1976), The Doctor Is In (1977) and A Little Kiss in the Night (1978). In the following decade, he embraced electronica, releasing On the Cool Side (1985) and Cool Paradise (1990). The man behind Steve Miller's early hits ("Space Cowboy") also produced Mose Allison and Diana Ross, and released the acclaimed Dylan Different in 2009. Ben Sidran continues to distill his smooth jazz with Don't Cry for No Hipster (2013) and Blue Camus (2014).
