Bianca

Bianca (born October 5, 1948 in Hausen near Offenbach) is a German singer, folk musician and composer of popular hits. Born Herlinde Grobe, she began her career as a singer as a teenager. Her debut single "Schöne Mädchen Küssen Gern" was released in 1965. Seven more singles followed up to 1968, all of them without much reverberation in the German charts. In the 1970s, Bianca took on singing roles in Christian musicals. The singer also worked with German hit producer Frank Farian for a short time, including on the song "Rocky" in 1976. After that, Bianca went quiet for a while. It was not until 1986 that the singer returned with her first album Zaubersee. Musically, Bianca now moves into the area of folk hits. Bianca became a hit supplier in the field of folk music and also successfully composed songs for other artists. Until the mid-1990s, Bianca took part in the Grand Prix of Folk Music competition as a singer and composer and her songs were among the top 10 participants several times. in 1989, Bianca reached 4th place with the song she composed "Hörst Du die Glocken von Stella Maria" (interpreted by singer Edith Prock), while the song she sang herself, "Die Rosen der Madonna", reached 5th place. In the 2000s, Bianca retired from the public eye. In 2022, Bianca makes a brilliant comeback with the album Die Rosen der Madonna. The compilation with her greatest hits reaches number 3 in Germany, number 7 in Austria and number 28 in Switzerland.
