Birdy Nam Nam is one of those French groups that make a certain musical chauvinism possible. Born out of the Skratch Action Hiro DJ collective, the four members of Birdy Nam Nam made a name for themselves in 2002 when they became world DJ team champions in the DMC competition. Their 2005 album of the same name put them firmly at the forefront of French turntablism. In January 2009, Birdy Nam Nam stepped up a gear with Manual For Successful Rioting. In 2011, he enters the techno scene with the release of Defiant Order. Reduced to a trio, Birdy Nam Nam gradually moved away from scratching. In 2016, he released the album Dance or Die with contributions from singers Mai Lan and Elliphant and talkboxer Dogg Master.
