BKRBABYBOY, real name Reydwan Bekthi, is a singer-songwriter and producer from Lille, France. Born in 1999, he began producing music in 2013 and released his first track in 2019. His pseudonym combines the initials of his surname and first name ("BKR") with "BABYBOY", in reference to the 2000s. His musical style, which he describes as "trapnB", fuses elements of trap and RnB, creating a light, melodic vibe. He draws his inspiration from the 2000s, the hip-hop universe and the nocturnal atmosphere of cities like Montreal. In August 2024, BKRBABYBOY unveils his LOVSZN project, a nine-track EP without collaborations, reflecting his personal universe. The project is the fruit of his experience in Montreal and was recorded in Wazemmes, northern France. Prior to LOVSZN, he collaborated with artists such as Geeeko, Pollux, Beeby and Smeels. His songwriting credits include "Lover Boy". In November 2023, he released the EP TWAAP and the single "Fuck le club", which accumulated almost 400,000 streams in France. In February 2024, BKRBABYBOY takes part in the Friends & Family singles series on the AWA label with the track "Dream", reinforcing his presence on the French music scene. He is currently distributed by Warner Music France, continuing his rise in the music industry.
