BLXST

The rapper known as BLXST was born Matthew Burdette on September 17, 1992, in Los Angeles, California. He started rapping and producing after finishing high school and then joined the hip-hop collective TIU Muzic, where he gained the necessary experience to launch his own label Evgle in 2015. His debut single “Who Would’ve Thought” came out in 2016 and was followed by "Headshots,” “Act Like You Know,” “Nothin' 2 Somethin,” and “Can I” in 2018. After collaborating with Bino Rideaux on the Sixtape mixtape, he made his big breakthrough in 2019 with the single “Hurt.” This led to a partnership with Red Bull Records, which released his debut extended play No Love Lost in 2020. The EP peaked at number 3 on the US Heatseekers chart and a deluxe edition featuring guest spots by Ty Dolla $ign, Tyga, Dom Kennedy, and Bino Rideaux was released later that year. In 2021, “Chosen,” one of the singles from No Love Lost, entered Billboard’s Hot Rap Songs chart at number 16. A second EP titled Just for Clarity arrived shortly after, as well as a second installment of the Sixtape series, which entered the Billboard 200 at number 117. BLXST released his debut solo mixtape Before You Go in 2022 and featured in Kendrick Lamar's "Die Hard" from Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers a few months later. His official studio debut I'll Always Come Find You dropped in 2024, featuring cameos by 2 Chainz, Amanda Reifer, Fatman Scoop, Offset, Anderson .Paak, Feid, Becky G, Ty Dolla $ign, and Kamasi Washington.
