Bonfire

The German hard rock band Bonfire was founded in Ingolstadt in 1986. The founding members are Hans Ziller (guitar), Claus Lessmann (vocals), Horst Maier-Thorn (guitar), Jörg Deisinger (bass) and Dominik Hülshorst (drums). The group originally traded under the name Cacumen before changing their name to Bonfire. Their debut album Don't Touch the Light is released in 1986, followed by Fireworks in 1987, which achieves greater fame with hits such as "Sleeping All Alone" and "Champion". in 1989, the band released the album Point Blank, which further consolidated their melodic hard rock style. Over the years, there are several line-up changes, but Hans Ziller remains a constant member. Bonfire released numerous albums, including Knock Out (1991), Feels Like Comin' Home (1996), Temple of Lies (2018) and Fistful of Fire (2020). After several re-releases of old albums, Bonfire returned with a new studio album in early 2025. Higher Ground enters the German charts at number 35 and reaches number 28 in Switzerland.
