Boston Manor are a UK-based alternative emo rock band formed in 2013 in Blackpool, England. The band, consisting of Henry Cox (vocals), Mike Cunniff (guitar), Ash Wilson (guitar), Dan Cunniff (bass), and Jordan Pugh (drums), blend emo, punk, and alternative rock with dark, introspective lyrics and a modern edge. Emerging from the UK pop-punk scene with their early EPs, Boston Manor gained widespread attention with their debut album Be Nothing (2016), which showcased their gritty, emotional sound and raw energy and was produced by Neil Kennedy. As their music evolved, the band embraced a more atmospheric and experimental approach on their sophomore album Welcome to the Neighbourhood (2018), which delved into themes of societal decay, alienation, and urban dystopia. Known for their dynamic live performances, Boston Manor have toured extensively and earned a loyal global following. Their continued evolution has positioned them as a leading force in the modern emo and alternative rock scene, blending emotive storytelling with bold, genre-defying soundscapes. They have continued to hone their sound on further albums such as 2022's Datura and 2024 effort Sundiver.
