Boyce Avenue

From making videos in their garage to supporting One Direction on tour, Boyce Avenue were one of the first acts to successfully use YouTube to build a massive international following and gain millions of subscribers, billions of streams and a place in the Guinness Book of World Records. Brothers Daniel, Alejandro and Fabian Manzano grew up in Sarasato, Florida, and discovered a musical interest through their parents' love of singing, the classical guitar-playing and the Puerto Rican folk songs of their grandfather and their music teacher uncle. They played in pubs and at parties in their youth, but it wasn't until Daniel graduated from Harvard Law School and returned home that they started formally playing together in 2004. Taking their name from two local streets, things really started taking off when Alejandro posted a video of himself playing Rihanna's 'Disturbia' on YouTube and received a flood of views and as a band they began regularly posting cover versions of songs such as Goo Goo Dolls' 'Before It's Too Late', OneRepublic's 'Apologize' and Coldplay's 'Viva La Vida' in 2007. Setting up their own label 3 Peace Records to digitally release their Acoustic Sessions EPs, their growing popularity led to tours across the US, Europe and the Philippines and they self-released their debut album 'All You're Meant to Be' in 2009. Their popularity and dreamy, melodic style soon attracted the attention of major record label Universal Republic who helped them release follow-up album 'All We Have Left'; they also appeared on the US series of 'The X Factor' as voice coaches and opened for One Direction in the UK in 2012. The band left Universal and returned to working on their own EP 'No Limits' in 2014, and after touring India and selling-out the Royal Albert Hall in London, they released a new album of original material called 'Road Less Travelled' in 2016 and were officially recognised by the Guinness Book of World Records as the biggest independent band on Youtube.
