Best known for their 1997 hit "Drinking in L.A.", Quebec collective Bran Van 3000 released three albums between 1997 and 2007, all of which straddled the line between electro, soul, rock and rap. Glee, Discosis and Rosé, the three opuses in question, topped the charts each time, making the group founded by DJ James di Salvio a household name on the Canadian music scene, with international success. In 2015, after a few years' hiatus, Bran Van 3000 are back in action with the album French Garden.
