Brownside

The short-lived hip-hop group Brownside was formed by West Coast rapper Eazy-E in 1993. It was originally conceived by the MC as a Chicano rap take on his former rap group N.W.A. Its lineup included Eazy-E, Gilbert "Toker" Izquierdo, Pierre "Wicked" Lamas, José Philip "Trouble" Aguirre, and Carlos "Danger" Martinez. Following Eazy-E's death in 1995, Brownside released their studio debut Eastside Drama via Ruthless Records in 1997, followed by Payback (1999), The Take Over (2006), Trece Razones (2008), and Banging Story'z (2016), the first one to feature Toker's younger brother Alex "Klever" Izquierdo. The group's status remains unknown after Toker's murder in Rosarito, Baja California, in 2018.
