Born in Trondheim, Norway, on August 15, 1985, Carina Dahl first made a name for herself on television, then on the fashion catwalk, before launching her singing career. She began her career as a model, appearing on the reality TV show Big Brother in 2006, before signing with the Stargate label and settling in Sweden for several years. After releasing her first album, Hot Child, in 2010, she entered the Melodi Grand Prix, where she reached the semi-finals. Failing to represent her country at the Eurovision Song Contest, the singer released a series of singles for the DaWorks label, culminating in the album Hurrican Lover (2015), based on acoustic sessions. In 2018, her version of "Despacito", a duet with Adrian Jorgensen, was certified platinum. Two years later, she scored another hit with her cover of "Shallow", before moving into country with a series of singles preceding the release of the album Best på Fest (2024).
