A worship pastor, songwriter, and Christian singer with several Number 1 hits on the Hot Gospel Songs charts, Chandler Moore is perhaps best known for his work with the Grammy-winning worship group Maverick City Music. He was born in Charleston, South Carolina, on March 21, 1995. While serving as a background singer for gospel artists like Travis Greene, Moore also began releasing music of his own, beginning with the debut single "Never Runs Out" in 2014. During the decade's final stretch, he became involved with Maverick City Music, an Atlanta-based collective of Christian musicians. His true breakthrough arrived in 2020, beginning with his appearance on All Nations Music's "Bless Your Name," which reached number 25 on Billboard's Hot Gospel Songs chart. One month later, he sang lead on Maverick City Music's Grammy-nominated hit "Man of Your Word," which climbed to number 18 on the Hot Christian Songs chart. In September, he also appeared on Dante Bowe's "Voice of God," which became another Top 40 hit on Hot Christian Songs. Finally, in November, he reached number 4 on Billboard's Top Gospel Albums with his own album, Feelings. 2021 brought even more success with the release of Old Church Basement, a live album recorded by Elevation Worship and Maverick City Music. Moore sang lead on the Grammy-nominated songs "Jireh" and "Wait on You," both of which reached Number 1 on the Hot Gospel Songs chart while also cracking the Top 10 of the Hot Christian Songs chart. Old Church Basement went on to win the Grammy Award for "Best Contemporary Christian Music Album," and Moore won four additional Grammys in 2023 for his collaborations with Maverick City Music, Kirk Franklin, and Crowder. He maintained success as a solo artist, too, reaching number 30 on the Top 50 Christian Songs chart with 2024's "Lead Me On."
