Chanson Plus Bifluorée

Founded in 1985 by Michel Puyau, Robert Fourcade, Sylvain Richardot and Xavier Cherrier, Chanson Plus Bifluorée is the French equivalent of Manhattan Transfer. The quartet grew out of the Marseille duo Le Mécanophone and the Landes duo Gong du Balayeur. A vocal group inspired by music hall, this tribe of "descaling" humor puts to music as well as to stage covers of Aristide Bruant, Charles Trenet and Georges Brassens, as well as rap, jazz, flamenco, reggae and tango. An adept at musical gags, Chanson Plus Bifluorée is renowned for exporting its shows to French-speaking countries, where the group is a huge success.
