Chantal Goya

From the French pop of the yé-yé years to children's songs, Chantal Goya (born Chantal de Guerre in Saïgon, Indochina, on June 10, 1942) has crossed decades and styles. Associated with her husband and lyricist Jean-Jacques Debout and the children's shows of the early 1980s, she enjoyed widespread success with the musicals La Forêt magique (1980), Le Soulier qui vole (1981), La Planète merveilleuse (1983) and Le Mystérieux voyage de Marie-Rose (1985), all of which were released as live albums. His songs "Bécassine", "Un lapin" and "Pandi panda " became part of the collective memory of this generation. After a less fruitful period, with projects such as Le grenier aux trésors (1997), she continued to tour the stage with new shows(Il était une fois Marie-Rose, L'étrange histoire du château hanté, Les aventures fantastiques de Marie-Rose in 2000 and 2010). Also known for her acting career, notably in front of Jean-Luc Godard's camera(Masculin, féminin, 1966), and as a New Wave icon, Chantal Goya returned to the cinema in Absolument fabuleux (2001).
