Born on June 10, 1994, in Guasave, Sinaloa, Chayín Rubio (real name Kevin Rubio Gutiérrez) is a Mexican singer-songwriter who has built a name in the regional Mexican scene by blending heartfelt lyricism with mariachi and norteño traditions. After signing with Latin Power Music, Chayín Rubio debuted in 2015 with the single “Ya No Aguanto,” gaining wider recognition in 2018 with his viral cover of Reik’s “Ya Me Enteré” and the release of his first album El Ahijado Consentido, which also featured “Secuelas De Amor” and “¿Y Cómo Le Hago?” He followed up with collaborations like “Negocio y Amistad” with El Komander, “Tequila” and “Quisiera Tenerte” with 3BallMTY, and “Vete Ya” with Banda Guasaveña. In 2019, he released his second album Mi Sueño, led by tracks like “La Dosis Perfecta” and “Hace Tiempo,” and later joined the Mexillennials collective on hits such as “¿Cómo Te Atreves?” and “Señora, Señora.” His third LP, Las Canciones Que Me Gustan (2020), included fan favorites like “Amor del Bueno” and “Te Fuiste de Aquí.” Chayín Rubio has continued evolving his style with singles like “Pregúntale,” “Se Olvidó” (Mariachi version), and “¿Por Qué Te Vas de Mí?” (2022), cementing his place among the genre’s new generation.
